Care
Gold is a relatively soft metal, so while you can wear it daily, it’s best to avoid exposure to chemicals like perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products, as they can dull the finish. Clean your gold jewellery with warm water and mild soap, then gently polish with a soft cloth.
To keep your silver jewellery looking its best, gently clean it with a soft, damp cloth after each wear to remove oils and dirt. For a deeper clean, use a silver polishing cloth or a solution of warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap. Always dry your silver pieces completely before storing them.
Diamonds are the hardest natural substance, but they can still be chipped or scratched if they come into contact with other hard materials. Always store your diamond jewellery in a separate compartment or soft pouch to avoid scratches. Clean your diamonds regularly with a soft cloth or a non-abrasive jewellery cleaner.
It’s a good idea to have your jewellery professionally cleaned and inspected every 12 to 18 months, especially for pieces that you wear frequently. This will help maintain their sparkle and catch any potential issues like loose stones or worn prongs.
Keep your jewellery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Use individual pouches or a jewellery box with separate compartments to prevent pieces from scratching each other. For diamonds, ensure they are stored away from other hard gemstones to avoid damage.
It’s best to remove your jewellery before swimming or showering. Water, especially chlorinated or saltwater, can cause damage to precious metals and stones. Additionally, soaps and shampoos can leave residues that dull the appearance of your jewellery.
It's best to remove your jewellery before engaging in physical activities like exercise, sports, or heavy lifting. This helps avoid any risk of damage or stretching, especially with softer metals like gold and silver. Plus, exposure to sweat can tarnish your jewellery over time.
Repairs
The time required for repairs varies depending on the service. Ring resizing or polishing typically takes a few days, while more detailed repairs, such as re-tipping, re-clawing, or chain repairs, may take longer. We’ll give you an estimated time frame once we assess your piece.
While appointments aren't necessary, we recommend booking one to ensure we can give your jewellery the attention it needs. Walk-ins are welcome, but availability may vary, especially for services like ring resizing or stone re-setting. To book an appointment, check our book a consultation page here.
The cost depends on the type of repair and materials involved. Ring resizing, chain repairs, rhodium plating, and services like re-tipping and re-clawing all vary in price. We provide a free assessment and will offer a detailed estimate before any work begins.
Yes, we specialise in ring resizing for silver, gold, and platinum rings. Whether you need a slight adjustment or a more substantial change, we ensure your ring fits comfortably and maintains its quality.
Rhodium plating is often applied to white gold to enhance its shine and protect it from tarnishing. If your jewellery looks dull or has started to tarnish, rhodium plating can restore its beautiful finish and provide added durability.
If your stone feels loose or the setting is damaged, it’s time for a professional repair. We offer re-tipping and re-clawing to restore the security of your stones. We’ll also check all stones under a microscope to ensure they’re secure and tight, preventing any risk of loss.

Sizing
If you're unsure of your partner's ring size, there are a few options! You could borrow one of their rings (from the same finger) and bring it to us for sizing. Alternatively, you can ask a close friend or family member for help, or use a printable ring sizer available online. If none of these options work, don’t worry—our expert team can help resize the ring after your proposal to ensure the perfect fit.
To find your ring size, you can visit our store for a professional fitting, or use a ring sizer at home. We also offer an online guide to help you measure your finger with a piece of string or paper. Simply wrap it around your finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure the length in millimetres to find your size. If you're unsure, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for assistance. We're here to help!
Yes, your ring size can change over time due to factors like weight fluctuations, temperature changes, or hormonal changes. For instance, your fingers may swell in the warmer months and shrink in the colder months. If you notice any discomfort or the ring feels too tight or loose, it’s a good idea to have it resized. Our team is happy to assist with resizing to ensure the perfect fit as needed.
In most cases, rings can be resized either up or down by a professional jeweller. However, not all rings can be resized, especially if they have intricate designs, certain materials (like tungsten or titanium), or stones set all the way around the band. It’s best to check with your jeweller before making a purchase if resizing is a concern.
If you’ve purchased a ring in the wrong size, we offer resizing services (depending on the design). If you’re unsure about sizing, we recommend trying a few options or opting for a smaller adjustment rather than a larger one, as resizing up can sometimes be more difficult.
A properly sized ring should fit snugly over your knuckle but still slide on and off without too much resistance. It should feel comfortable on your finger, not too tight or loose. You should be able to remove it with a little effort, but it shouldn’t easily fall off.
Yes, your fingers can change size throughout the day. Many people find that their fingers are slightly larger in the afternoon or evening, especially after physical activity. It’s best to measure your finger at the end of the day when it’s at its largest for the most accurate result.
Yes, ring size charts are a useful tool for finding your size, but they are not always 100% accurate due to differences in measurement methods. If you're unsure about your size, we suggest getting a professional fitting at a jeweller or ordering a ring sizer online to confirm your exact size.
